The Field Scientific Observations Research Station of the Loess Plateau Water Circulating and Geological Environment Education is located in Zhengning County, Gansu Province. The scientific observational research station instrumentation and supporting facilities are complete, observational and research conditions are good.

In September 2019, the Wilderness Scientific Observatory Research Station of the Loess Plateau Water Circulating and Geological Environment Education was selected as a 2013 Ministry of Education Field Scientific Observatory Research Station.
