Ouming Xu has been an associate professor at the School of Materials  Science and Engineering at the Chang'an University in Xi'an, China since  2010. He is also serving as registered pavement and material Testing  and Inspection engineer of Ministry of Transportation of the People's  Republic of China. He is currently serving as Master degree Advisor.

Associate  Pro. Xu graduated from the Chang'an University in 2001 and got a B.S.  degree. He received a master degree and a Ph.D. degree in 2004 and 2007  respectively, in the same university. Dr. Xu worked as a visiting  scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the  Clemson University for one year in 2014.

Dr. Xu's research  interests include pavement surface functional characteristics and  materials, pavement maintenance materials and technology, modified  asphalt and mixtures optimization and evaluation, sustainable pavement  materials. He has been actively involved in more than twenty research  projects in China and published more than fortypeer-reviewed journal  papers.
