On the morning of May 25th, the academic review and interview conference for Class 2021 international students at the School of Construction Machinery was held in the Conference Room 211. The school’s associate deans in charge of teaching, scientific research, international education, international student advisors, and office director attended the conference which was presided over by Associate dean Zhang Xinrong.
Interview
Associate Dean Zhang Chunguo explained the importance of international student training to promote the internationalization of the school, spread university culture, and stimulate international cooperation. He briefly introduced the implementation regulations of Chinese Government Scholarship and self-financed-international-student academic review, and the interviewees’ cultural background.
4 Ph.D. and 8 master applicants from 6 countries (Pakistan, Yemen, etc.) participated in the online interviews in turn, in which they were assessed in terms of professional foundation, scientific research ability, subject background, and course grade report.
Discussion
After the conference, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Fan Hailong introduced the annual review of the Chinese Government Scholarship of 2021 and “the Belt and Road Initiatives” International Student Scholarship. The participating teachers also discussed on how to improve the talent training mode and management system for international students.
